Billing, receipts and invoices

Billing on CueTheScene runs through a merchant of record, so the payment, the tax, and the paperwork all come from one place. Here is who handles what, and where to find your receipts and invoices.

How billing works

CueTheScene is operated by MARKETEZEAI LTD (Companies House 16787865, ICO ZC119363), a UK company registered at 10 Shaw Green Crescent, Euxton, Chorley, PR7 6QR. That is the company behind the product.

The payment itself runs through Polar, our merchant of record. As merchant of record Polar is the seller on the transaction: it takes the payment, works out any sales tax based on where you are, remits that tax, and issues the receipt and the invoice for every order. Your card details never touch our systems, they go straight to Polar.

So there are two parties doing two different jobs. We build and run CueTheScene. Polar handles the money and the paperwork that comes with it.

Getting your receipt or invoice

Every payment, whether a subscription renewal or a one-off top-up, has a receipt and an invoice you can download.

1. Open Settings, then Billing.
2. Click Manage billing and receipts. That opens your billing portal, hosted by Polar.
3. From there you can download a receipt for any payment, download the invoice, and see your full payment history.

If you need a company name, a VAT number, or a billing address on the invoice for your own bookkeeping, you can add those in the portal and re-download the invoice with them on it.

VAT and tax

MARKETEZEAI LTD is not currently VAT-registered, because it sits under the UK VAT threshold. That means we do not charge VAT and we do not issue VAT invoices ourselves.

Where a sales tax does apply to you, based on your location, Polar adds it at checkout and shows you the final total before you pay. That tax appears on the receipt Polar issues, not on anything from us. Prices on the pricing page are shown in GBP and exclusive of any such tax.

If MARKETEZEAI LTD registers for VAT later, a VAT number will be shown here, and any VAT that applies will appear on the receipts and invoices Polar issues.

What lives where

On our side, in Settings then Billing, you will find the things we track: your active plan, your credit balance, your rollover and expiry dates, your top-up history, and your auto pay-as-you-go ledger. That is the operational view of what you have spent and what you have left.

The payment documents themselves, the receipts and the invoices, live with Polar and are reached through the billing portal as above. We point you to them rather than re-issue them, so there is one source of truth for the money side.
