Music should lift where nobody is speaking
There are gaps between narration where the music just sits at the same level. Those are the moments where a bit of a swell would carry the video instead of feeling like dead air.

Edit the thumbnail text after generation
The thumbnail is usually right but the wording is off. I want to tweak the text without rerolling the whole image.

Some niches want slower, heavier narration; some want pace. A words-per-minute dial on the brief would cover it.

Deleting a clip should be able to close the gap it leaves instead of me dragging everything left.

I use the same two or three voices on every video. Let me star them so they float to the top of the picker.

A "recently used on your videos" list in the voice picker, ideally with a link to the video so I can hear it in context.

Renders should be faster and fail less often
The render leg is the slowest and least predictable part of the whole thing, and an occasional job fails in it and has to be run again. It should be quicker and it should just work every time.

Some footage is off-topic or the wrong era
A 1950s topic got clearly modern b-roll in two scenes. The clip matching needs to be stricter about period.

Captions are unreadable over light footage
White captions over a pale document scan or sky disappear completely.

A confirm screen with what will be generated and what it will cost, before the pipeline starts.

Videos can feel like a slideshow of stills
Too many held still images in a row, especially in history topics. It needs more moving footage or more motion on the stills.

Let me blocklist a footage source I never want
Some stock sources just look wrong for my channel. I want to exclude a provider (or a specific collection) per channel rather than fighting the picker every video.

Niche, voice, look, music mood. I set the same options every time; a saved brand profile would make new videos two clicks.

Thumbnail cards, status chips, filters. The current list works but a library view would make finding an old video faster.

Watching my draft back, the same archive clip appeared four times. Once is fine, four reads as cheap.
